Today was our first day too attempt filming after last year this was only our 2nd time using cameras and it was a trouble having to get used to them again. We got there eventually with 2 cameras and 2 tripods as we trudged into town with the intention of filming people walking down the high street, just a few shots possibly about ten minutes altogether just to put some little sections into the video.
We decided against the idea completely and came up with another. We rang Jack the guitarist of the band, and asked what he was doing, as we were supposed to be using him to film as well.
Turns out the band had a gig that night, in Norwich. Who were we too pass up the opportunity? We decided to take up on the offer and got a train to Norwich so we were ready too meet the band there.
Charlie and I were at the ready with our cameras, but no tripods, we wanted all handheld footage to give the filming a bit more of an 'edge' with a more authentic feel. The disadvantage to this was there was a lot of footage that could have been excellent but the lack of lighting definitely tainted a lot of what we got. As you can see from the pictures below, which aren't that clear anyway, there isn't a lot of lighting in the place, it's basically a garage extention. A really good venue though, but we should have thought to bring extra lighting, hopefully the footage will turn out well!

THE BACK ROOM at Marquee Norwich has quickly become one of the best up and coming venues in Norwich with some great acts and a great atmosphere to match, at THE BACK ROOM we strive to make the gigging experience as easy and enjoyable as possible and will help out in any way we can. We have a team of regular promoters who offer you the best in up and coming bands from across the uk and overseas. THE BACK ROOM is a venue run by musicians for musicians and we stay true to this by making all the shows as low cost entry as we can. We hope to see ya at a show soon!
